About Us

The Akron Youth Rugby program was started in 2008 by members of the Akron Rugby Football Club to help bring the game of rugby to the youth of the Akron area. As the sport continues to grow at the high school and collegiate level, there is a greater need to introduce the sport to children at a younger age.

On top of all of that, rugby is an amazing sport to play that helps reinforce the need for physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun.

The Akron Youth Rugby program is run by members of the Akron Rugby Football Club and the Greater Akron Rugby Foundation. Both of which are non-profit organizations dedicated towards spreading the sport of rugby, and it’s positive values, in the community.
